Photographer. Editor. Visual powerhouse:
Meet Pat Ash
With nearly two decades of experience behind the camera and in the editing room, Pat Ash is a seasoned creative professional who brings precision and artistry to every frame. He’s photographed everything from commercial products to architectural spaces, developing a distinct style rooted in clarity, purpose, and detail.
For the past 11 years, Pat has been a driving force behind LCP Media’s visual storytelling—transforming spaces into compelling marketing assets that resonate with prospects. Whether he’s on location or behind the screen, his eye for design and passion for the craft play a critical role in shaping the high-quality content we’re known for in the multifamily and tech space.
Pat doesn’t just take pictures—he captures the essence of a space with the kind of expertise that only comes from years of honing both technical skills and creative instinct
“I started photographing my kids almost 20 years ago. When my son was born, I had built up some confidence and started taking photos for friends and family. Over time, that grew into everything from family and weddings to pets and products. I eventually found my way into architecture—and honestly, I haven’t looked back. When I came across the virtual tour work at LCP Media, I was hooked.”
“Almost 11 years now! It’s been incredible to see how far we’ve come. I really love traveling and capturing properties in their best light—literally. There’s something rewarding about helping a space shine and knowing the final product makes an impact.”
“Clean. Natural. Intentional.”
Clean: Uncluttered compositions with strong lines and attention to detail.
Natural: I love using natural light to highlight textures and create atmosphere.
Intentional: Every frame has purpose—each shot tells a story.
“I enjoy both shooting and editing. Seeing the finished product used in a brochure or online feels like the work really paid off. Architectural photography gives me the chance to slow down and focus—there are no kids to chase or pets to wrangle. Just me, the camera, and the space.”
“Keep learning. Technology evolves, and if you don’t adapt, you’ll fall behind. YouTube was a huge part of my growth early on. There’s a massive, supportive community out there willing to teach you if you’re willing to learn.”
“I’m excited about what’s ahead now that we’re part of the Yardi family. Everything I’ve experienced so far has been positive, and I can’t wait to see how we grow from here.”
“My Contour ShuttlePRO multimedia controller! Having all my editing tools right at my fingertips is a game-changer. Pair that with keyboard shortcuts, and I’m in the zone.”
"I'm a Canon shooter. My go-to, most-used lens is the Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II. A close second is the Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L."
“Japan. The culture, the history, the mix of calm and energy—it’s always drawn me in. It would be a photographer’s dream to capture both the temples and the city lights.”
"I do have a couple of favorite images I've taken over the years. Some are of properties themselves, but a lot of the most memorable ones are actually of the surrounding area while I was traveling. Sometimes it’s those unexpected moments in the environment that really stick with me."
When Pat isn’t capturing beautiful spaces or editing behind the scenes, he’s all about balance—spending time with family, enjoying creative downtime, and staying connected to the people and passions that matter most.
Each week, he gathers with a tight-knit group of friends for board game night, a tradition going strong for nearly a decade. And when it comes to watching a good series, my oldest kid is my go-to partner. We love getting into new shows together.
And here’s a fun twist—Pat has a background in close-up magic (think card tricks and sleight of hand) that still manages to wow his dad and entertain friends to this day. Add in his love for food photography, and it’s clear that creativity follows him wherever he goes.
Dinner guests of choice?
Peter McKinnon (“Incredible photographer and educator”), Simon Sinek (“His TED Talks are next level”), and Rhett & Link (“Technically two people, but they’ve been part of my life since my kids were little”)
First job?
Santa’s Village in West Dundee, IL. “I operated rides, worked winters as a skate guard, and eventually ran the roller coaster with my grade school best friend. We still laugh about it today.”
Pat is one of those rare creatives who blends artistry with technical excellence. Whether he’s behind the camera or in the editing bay, he brings a thoughtful, intentional approach to everything he touches.
He’s a visual storyteller, a team player, and a quiet force behind the scenes making sure each project reflects the best of what we do.
Tim Kozlowski, Director of Digital Media, shares:
"Pat has played a vital role in the success of the Photos Department. His knowledge, passion, and consistently positive attitude make him an outstanding colleague and a pleasure to work with. He's always eager to help, take on new challenges, and expand his skill set.
As one of the original team members at LCP Media, Pat has been instrumental in helping us navigate the growing pains and challenges that come with building a startup. Over the years, we've been fortunate to have his steady guidance and support.
Working alongside Pat for the past 10 years has truly been a pleasure, and I’m excited to see what the future holds for him at LCP Media."
Joe Garstki, Photo & Video Editor, shared:
“If you think ‘Pat Ash’ sounds like the name of a superhero, you’re right—because he is. Pat is a stalwart and fixture of the LCP Media Photos Department, whose skills and expertise when it comes to the minutiae of manipulating and molding images into their best selves are top tier.
Not only is Pat hardworking, dedicated, and willing to take on any and all projects, he is always willing to make time for his fellow team members. I couldn’t count on two hands all the times Pat took time out of his day to walk me through a pain point in the editing process or mentor me on specific software skill sets.
Pat’s lighthearted, easygoing, and collaborative demeanor makes it easy to reach out to him for help—and makes him a perfect partner for navigating the breakneck speed of high-quantity editing.”
Emily Lauth, Photographer & Photo Editor, adds:
"Working with Pat is a joy. He has a natural warmth that makes everyone feel welcome and included. Whether it’s keeping conversations lively or finding ways to bring the team closer with virtual game nights, his kindness and energy are contagious. On top of that, his passion for photography and editing is a true asset. He is always up to date on the latest techniques and shares tips that he finds to help the team streamline our editing process.”
Anthony Lin, VP of Product, shares:
"Pat is one of the most versatile and knowledgeable photographers I’ve had the pleasure of working with—and the person I’ve learned everything I know about photography from. A true subject matter expert, Pat has trained many of the photographers we work with today. From architectural photography to headshots and food styling, Pat’s range is exceptional. Pat is not only skilled in advanced techniques like HDR and light painting, but also has a gift for making people feel comfortable during shoots—earning consistent praise from clients."
